HEAD WATER RESOURCE MANAGEMENT EXECUTIVE DURBAN Finance / Accounting ~ Project Management
KwaZulu NatalHEAD WATER RESOURCE MANAGEMENTAn exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic person with Natural Science who is passionate about leading the companies Resource Management Division by developing strategies that are aligned and feed into the organisations vision and mission . The position is based at Hillcrest.Purpose of the Job:Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful incumbent lead the companies Management Division by providing strategic direction to the Division.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the strategic plan for the company and ensure translation of this into the divisional annual operational plan.
  • Lead development of divisional business plans in line with company strategy and objectives.
  • Develop and manage the budget for the Division.
  • Monitor and evaluate the implementation of approved Operations policies and procedures.
  • Drive developmental growth of the Divions employees while focusing on critical skills required to propel the organisation forward.
  • Drive the strategic objectives of water resource Management for the company
  • Align water resource management initiatives such that the results translate to the desire of the shareholders service level agreement
  • Lead the expansion of water resource management footprint with the aim of integrating and consolidating efforts of water conservation and ecological infrastructure
  • Lead pollution control initiatives that will contribute to low water treatment costs to the shareholder and increased lifespan of ecological infrastructure
  • Lead rehabilitation projects by securing funding from external partners and governent to re-establish indiginous vegetation and removal of invasive alien plants
  • Drive commecialization strategy as approved by Board
  • Overseeing the environment protection strategies implied by the company.
  • Manage the development and implementation of environmental management systems.
Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and to ensure corporate sustainable development.Minimum Qualifications: Recognized Bachelors degree in Natural Sciences or equivalent. A Post Graduate Degree in Natural Sciences will be an added advantage. Unendorsed Code 08 / B Drivers license. 3-5 years executive level with experience in Natural Resources ManagementKey Knowledge and Skills: Good knowledge of water resource management, water infrastructure and project management principles and practices. Advance strategic understanding, interpretation and monitoring. *Understanding and application of natural resources management and related legislation *Strong leadership and developmental traits for subordinates *Ability to apply successful fundraising and networking techniques *Understanding of stakeholder management/methods/techniques *Knowledge of the supply value chains applicable to industry, and ability to deal with suppliers. *Applied knowledge of safety & security policies and procedures. *Account management principle and practices, including budgeting, target setting and forecasts.* Quality process and methods, and their application to operational environments.If you meet the requirements Glenda encourages you to applyIf you do not hear from us within 21 days of submitting your application kindly consider you as being unsuccessful this time.Apply for this Job
