The successful candidate will have a demonstrated history of success as a Health and Safety Manager in a similar industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team in South Africa. The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health an safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.Job Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental standards are met as per policies and procedures.

• Contributing to Strategy development and compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental targets at Complex level.

• Managing Health, Safety and Environmental Systems.

• Establishing and maintaining effective communication and engagement channels with the relevant internal and external stakeholders.

• Managing, supporting and utilising people effectively.

• Ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental standards are met as per policies and procedures.

• Ensuring safety file requirements are maintained per mine site.
• Ensuring that annual mandatory and legal compliance training is conducted.
• Facilitating annual compliance audits
• Liaising with Mine sites and maintaining compliance per unique mine site

• A bachelors degree in safety management, engineering, or a related field. (NQF 7)
• At least five years of experience as a Health and Safety Manager in the mining industry.
• Highly knowledgeable about mining safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and enforce safety strategies.

• Previous experience at Hexagon Mining, or a similar technology-driven mining company.
• Certification from a recognized safety body (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, SAMTRAC).
• A masters degree in safety management or a related field.
• Experience in safety management in a global company.
• Advanced technical skills, with expertise in safety manage.
• Strong ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 Implementation and internal auditing experience will be an added advantage.
