Job Description

Our client is looking for a Lifestyle and Wellness Consultant who would be responsible for educating and supporting members to manage health risks, reduce hospitalisations, and minimize health deterioration through proactive counselling.Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: B Psych degree
• Professional Membership: Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), Registered Clinical Psychologist
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in hospital, clinic, or managed care settings, providing mental health counselling

Key Responsibilities:
Client Service Delivery:

• Provide telephonic and written counselling to members with high-risk or long-term illnesses
• Support members in managing health risks and reducing hospital admissions
• Ensure quality service delivery in collaboration with peers

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Comply with legal and regulatory standards
• Address operational risks and escalate when necessary

Operational Responsibilities:

• Manage case information, handle claims queries, and collaborate with team members
• Refer high-risk patients for additional support as needed
• Stay updated with operational changes and deliver according to quality standards

Leadership & Development:

• Meet personal performance goals, participate in coaching, and support diversity initiatives

Stakeholder Management:

• Build relationships with customers and stakeholders and resolve complaints
