HO FINANCE - LANSERIAFull job description:The Head of Finance will provide financial leadership for Airbus Southern Africa as a member of the leadership team, directly partnering with the Managing Directors to execute on the company's operational objectives.Establishing annual performance targets through the Operative Planning process and deliver accurate forecasting as well as robust financial reporting and analysis through ownership of business-critical KPIs (cash flow, cost base, G&A, etc.). In addition, the incumbent will provide direct support to investment planning for growth strategies, including, but not limited to, M&A projects and capital expenditures. Ensuring a strong link to the Airbus organization, tightly aligning financial processes to those of Airbus Divisions (Airbus), making them evolve at the same pace as the company. Creating and maintaining the management tools giving a perfect vision of performance. Responsible for all accounting and treasury activities of the company, ensuring that internal financial control standards are upheld whilst promoting a strong culture of risk anticipation and finance compliance. Scope of responsibility also include IM and finance activities for Airbus Nigeria (Commercial Division). Finally, the Head of Finance shall manage, train and develop a team of experienced finance professionals (5 to 10 people) and acts in close coordination with the Regional HO Finance of both Regional HoFs (Helicopters and Group One-roof). Primary Responsibilities: Business Controlling:Comprehensively plan the development of Legal Entity via the Annual Operative Planning (AOP) process, ensuring alignment with stakeholders on key assumptions related to Order Intake, Revenue, Profitability, Capital Investments and FCFEstablish a robust mechanism for quarterly forecasting of financial performance against AOP targets, to capture all risks and opportunities in an integrated fashion to update targets on year-end performanceProvide detailed analysis of actual financial results on a monthly basis versus Forecast and AOP targets, performing root-cause analysis and synthesizing this analysis into actionable guidance back to KPI owners for mitigation or exploitation of risks and opportunitiesPartner with Airbus Controlling, Accounting and Financial Systems departments to ensure that a robust cost accounting model is in place within enterprise financial systems to ensure a high fidelity of financial information is captured to support contract compliance, accounting accuracy and performance managementEffectively liaise with Division controlling functions and establish trust relationship with Central finance stakeholdersClosely monitor and evaluate the financing and cash needs of the businessSupport commercial offer evaluations in line with Airbus processes (FinCom, RMC), review costing & pricing according to internal processesSupport Operations in monitoring the profitability of the different business lines (MRO, training, logistic, ), alert on early deviations and propose corrective actions Transactional Accounting, Tax & Operational Treasury:De liver Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Travel & Expense and General Accounting operations, ensuring standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed and internal controls are applied in accordance with Airbus accounting standards and audit expectationsEnsures timely, accurate and complete supplier payments are made in strict adherence to payment due dates and that outstanding customer debt is collected according to contract terms in order to drive optimal working capital of the company with a focus on process improvement to address the root cause of underperformanceProvide to the Airbus Operational Treasury Department the cash reporting in the agreed content and frequencyManages independently all aspects of business activities operational treasury activities, ensuring accurate allocation of inbound and outbound bank movements and robust reporting and forecasting in full compliance with the Airbus Treasury Golden RulesEnsure that the entity is compliant to all Tax regulations, that the Airbus Tax Strategy is applied and that tax specialists, when nominated, have a reporting line to Airbus Tax & Customs and to the Head of Finance Investment Planning & New Business Support:Support the elaboration of stand-alone business cases for incremental investments into new product capabilities modeling both the magnitude and phasing of non-recurring investments and identifying consequent sources of incremental profit and free cash flow via KPIs such as NPV, IRR & DCFSupport the planning and review of all CAPEX files, ensuring that the global process is followed and that investments planned in the AOP are properly aligned to the long-term needs of the businessOptimize financ ial resources (renegotiation of contracts, tax efficiency, obtaining loans and grants, etc.) Financial Compliance, ERM, Governance & Insurance:Participate in the Board of Directors and ensure all required Finance topics are adequately discussed and approved.Ensure the Enterprise Risk Management ("ERM") process is properly applied and submit required quarterly reports.Ensure Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Customer ("AML/KYC") rules are properly applied, and all Customers are properly vetted prior to selling.Ensure Supplier Due Diligence rules are applied, and all Suppliers are properly vetted prior to engagement. Ensure periodic Supplier block lists are cascaded. Ensure supplier bank transfer details are properly validated to protect against payment fraud.Ensure appropriate Internal Controls are in place and actively manage to ensure continuing adequacy and effectiveness. Lead the annual Internal Control Self-Assessment ("ICSA") and make quarterly updates regarding any deficiencies.Management of company insurance, in accordance with group policies and standards Other Responsibilities:Management of company secretaryEnsure the proper performance of the IM function for Airbus Southern Africa (ensure performance, manage infrastructure, implement Airbus directives)Deliver Finance for Airbus Nigeria (provide shared services, ensure controlled business environment)Support the Airbus Consolidation department in the preparation of the consolidation/deconsolidation implementation time-table and ensure the same materiality thresholds are applied to the entity and to associated sub-groups as those applied by Airbus Divisions in agreement with local auditors.Carefully assess, regularly review and document material Technical Accounting Matters in alignment with Airbus Accounting Record to Report and/ or Airbus Affiliates Controlling department. Qualified Experience / Skills / Training: The position holder must have a demonstrated track record of success managing stakeholders in complex cross-functional and geographically dispersed matrix organizations. Expected behavioral competencies include the following:Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance or a related field with 10+ years relevant experience, or, Finance Master Degree with 8+ years relevant experienceExposure within international set up: long-term assignments and/or multi-countries responsibilityStrong subject matter expertise over the full scope of financial, planning and analysis activities including a strong understanding of cost accounting principles.Well-established knowledge of financial accounting principles with the ability to plan and monitor business performance across the full set of financial statements including the Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Free Cash Flows.Demonstrated team management skillsPerformance Management KPI design and reporting knowledge and experienceStrong understanding and ability to apply Project, Program and Portfolio Management principlesProject Financial Evaluation skills (incl.
