Starting Date: 1 January 2025Job Summary:
The Head of Department (FET) IT, CAT, Coding and Robotics will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the IT, Computer Applications Technology (CAT), Coding and Robotics departments within the organization. This includes developing and implementing curriculum, overseeing faculty members, and ensuring the successful operation of the departments.Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement curriculum for IT, CAT, Coding, and Robotics programs.
2. Manage and oversee faculty members within the departments, including hiring, training, and evaluating their performance.
3. Ensure that all departmental policies and procedures are being followed and maintain a high standard of academic excellence.
4. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
5. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and technologies in the fields of IT, CAT, Coding, and Robotics.
6. Lead strategic initiatives and projects to improve the departments and implement best practices.
7. Manage department budgets, resources, and facilities effectively.
8. Stay informed about accreditation standards and ensure that the departments meet all necessary requirements.
9. Provide leadership and mentorship to faculty members and students within the departments.
10. Represent the departments at meetings, conferences, and other events as necessary.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Education, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in teaching or managing IT, CAT, Coding, or Robotics programs.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development and education best practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Experience with budget management and strategic planning.
