RPO Recruitment is currently partnering with a leading mining company in the Northern Cape who is seeking an experienced HOD Operations Manager to join their team. As the HOD Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the mining site and ensuring the smooth and efficient production of minerals.Responsibilities:

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of operational processes to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational performance and achieve production targets
• Manage the budget and resources allocated to the operations department
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and other relevant industry standards
• Lead and manage a team of supervisors, technicians, and other operational staff
• Coordinate with other departments to optimize production processes and resolve any issues or bottlenecks
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• GCC Mines & Works
• Minimum 10 years' operational experience as an appointed GCC Engineer in the mining environment
• Minimum of 5 years operational senior management experience
• Strong knowledge of mining legislation, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.s
