The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, vendor negotiation, and a passion for the food and beverage industry.EXCELLENT PACKAGE ON OFFER!!!!Key Responsibilities:Vendor Management:Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to develop strong relationships.Conduct regular assessments of suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and performance.Purchasing & Procurement:Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organizations goals.Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of products and services.Cost Management:Monitor and analyze procurement expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.Work collaboratively with finance and operations to create and manage budgets.Quality Control:Ensure that all purchased products meet quality standards and specifications.Address any issues related to product quality or supplier performance promptly.Market Research:Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new products.Facilitate product testing and evaluation for new menu items or suppliers.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with culinary teams to understand product needs and specifications.Communicate procurement plans, activities, and plans to management and stakeholders.Compliance:Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical procurement practices.Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities and supplier interactions.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.3+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain within the food service or restaurant industry.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with inventory management systems and methodologies.Certification in supply chain or procurement (e.g., C.P.M., C.P.S.M.) is a plus.Passion for the culinary arts and understanding of food safety standards.Job Type: Full-timePay: R35 000,00 - R38 000,00 per month
