Hospitality Staff Administrator - Somerset WestFull job descriptionWe are looking for a reliable Hospitality Staff Administrator.The Staff Administrators responsibilities will include various administration tasks, staff scheduling for different events and staff payments as well as record keeping and database updating. The ideal candidate is competent in prioritising, are self-motivated, trustworthy and can work with little supervision.Office hours are 08h00 16h00, but subject to change and season, plus additional events worked as needed after hours, weekends, holidays, etc.Duties & ResponsibilitiesManaging all administrative tasks such as e-mail, invoicing, personnel records and booking schedules.Casual Staff Scheduling/PaymentsAssist with training new staffStaff Managing at Events on- and offsiteCreate and update records and databases (Casual Staff Rota for Events)Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assignedEnsure that the department delivers a consistently high standard of client service. Also, achieve business objectives and maximise the profitability of all outlets. Maintain effective cost controls in all areas.Work alongside Manager to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations.Be responsible for maximising profit through the consistent delivery of the highest standard of service.Requirements and skillsAbility to work under pressure, with difficult clients and to multitask and remain calm in stressful situations.Great interpersonal and communication abilities.Excellent communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.Exceptional organisational and time management skills.Strong negotiation skills and leadership abilities.Willingness to work long hours and on weekends and holidays.Good knowledge of events and hospitality industryExcellent administrative skills and proper knowledge of Xero, Microsoft office and iOS systems.Ability to work on various projects at a time.Ability to meet strict deadlines.Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant, staff manager or relevant roleFamiliarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principlesQualifications in secretarial studies will be an advantageHigh school diplomaDrivers license and/or reliable own transportJob Type: Full-timePay: R16 000,00 - R18 000,00 per monthAbility to commute/relocate:Somerset West, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Diploma (Required)Experience:Administrative: 2 years (Required)Hospitality or Events: 2 years (Required)Expected Start Date: 2025/03/03
