Develop and implement sales strategies to increase occupancy, revenue, and overall market share for the hotel.
Identify new business opportunities and establish strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, tour operators, and event planners.
Coordinate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns that enhance the hotel's visibility in the market.
Handle client inquiries, provide property tours, and prepare customized proposals to meet their needs and budget.
Organize and coordinate events, meetings, and conferences, ensuring all aspects are executed to the clients satisfaction.
Manage event logistics, including room bookings, catering, AV equipment, and special requests, while maintaining effective communication with internal departments.
Prepare and present weekly and monthly sales reports, tracking performance against targets and providing insights for improvement.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, and industry standards to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
Qualifications and Experience:
Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Sales, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in hotel sales, event coordination, or a similar role in the hospitality industry, preferably within a 4 or 5-star property.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and delivering high-quality client service.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple events simultaneously.
Proficiency in using sales management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of the Polokwane and Limpopo market is advantageous.
