Hotel Assistant Restaurant - Cape TownFull job description:Position: Hotel Assistant RestaurantKey Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation and set-up of the restaurant for meal serviceGreet guests and assist with seating arrangementsTake food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staffServe food and drinks to guestsEnsure that all guests are satisfied with their dining experience and address any concerns or issues promptlyMaintain a clean and organized dining areaAssist with restocking and inventory managementCollaborate with the rest of the restaurant team to ensure efficient and timely serviceFollow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy dining environmentQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferredExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentAttention to detail and ability to multitaskTeam player with a positive attitudeWillingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysMust be able to pass a background check and drug testWorking Conditions:This is a full-time position that requires working on board a luxury cruise ship. The working environment is fast-paced and may involve long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The ship's itinerary may also require travel to various destinations.
