We cater to corporate travelers, leisure guests, and events, creating memorable guest experiences with our exceptional service and high standards.Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced Night Manager to lead the night operations at Ocean Breeze Hotel. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the hotels overnight management, ensuring that the hotel operates smoothly while maintaining the highest level of guest service and satisfaction during the night shift.Key Responsibilities:Guest Services & Front of House: Supervise all front office functions, including check-ins, check-outs, guest inquiries, and service recovery.Night Operations Management: Manage and oversee the smooth operation of all departments during the night, including housekeeping, security, and maintenance.Staff Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the night shift team, ensuring they perform their duties effectively and professionally.Crisis Management: Respond to guest or operational emergencies promptly and follow established protocols to resolve issues efficiently.Communication: Act as the main point of contact between guests, staff, and management during night hours. Compile detailed night shift reports for morning handover.Financial Controls: Conduct nightly audits, monitor room rates and payments, and ensure the financial accuracy of all front desk transactions.Safety & Security: Ensure the safety of guests and staff by conducting security checks and adhering to health and safety regulations.Minimum Requirements:Experience:Minimum of 5 years in Hotel Front of House operations, with a focus on customer service and guest relations.At least 2 years of managerial experience within a hotel environment.Shift Availability: Able to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays.Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a team, foster teamwork, and maintain staff morale during night shifts.Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with a guest-first mindset.Crisis Management: Ability to remain calm under pressure, make quick decisions, and resolve guest or operational issues effectively.Attention to Detail: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to ensure smooth night operations.Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with hotel management software and systems ( Semper PMS).What We Offer:Competitive Salary: R15,000 - R20,000 per month, depending on experience.Career Growth Opportunities: We are committed to developing our team and offer growth paths into higher management roles.Supportive Work Environment: Join a passionate team dedicated to exceptional service.How to Apply:Interested candidates should send their CV and a cover letter detailing relevant experience to amy@oceanbreezehotel.co.za.
