Job Description


PURPOSE OF JOB
Provides generalist human resources administrative functions and provide assistance to the payroll function.

  • Perform generalist HR administrative duties
  • Administer Employee Self Service (ESS) and serve as initial point of assistance and problem resolution
  • Load and terminate employees on ESS and provide guidance and assistance to users.
  • Maintain reporting lines on ESS and adjust according to staff movement
  • Maintain the HR departments attendance record.
  • Collate monthly attendance registers and reconcile registers to leave reports
  • Ensure all divisions have a dedicated attendance keeper and replace attendance keepers as necessary
  • Maintain and update register of attendance keepers and backups to attendance keepers
  • Create a variety of leave reports as and when necessary
  • Provide guidance and assistance to employees and management regarding the application of the leave policy
  • Act as backup to Payroll Officer with regards to all payroll functions which include but are not limited to:
Collecting required documents from employees
  • Assist line managers and employees with the completion and submission of WCA claims and maintain records for follow up.
  • Collects statistical data for administrative and/or quality improvement purposes.
  • Manage employee benefits, including capturing of new and terminated employees on the Momentum portal
  • Assist employees with changes to their investments and withdrawal claims as necessary
  • Balance Momentum investment portal monthly and facilitate bulk change uploads as necessary.
  • Create monthly portal reconciliations
  • Administer all fund claims
  • Carry out internal funds transfers for payments and commissions
  • Provide administrative support for HR projects as assigned
  • Generate monthly and quarterly reports on areas of activity as well as ad hoc reports as required
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees as to applicable labor legislation, and company policies
  • Assist the Senior HCBP with capturing administrative data for Learning and Development
  • Assist the Senior HCBP with compiling supporting documents for WSP/ATR i.e training registers and signed invoices
  • Assist HCBP with administrative recruitment duties i.e loading adverts, shortlisting, telephonic screenings, setting up interviews, reference and MIE checks
  • Updating new engagement and recruitment trackers
  • Assist the HC team with adhoc duties as and when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Matric
  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resources
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in HR
