Position: HR Business Partner RoleLocation: Cape TownSector: Pharma ManufacturingType: HybridCore purpose of the role:The successful candidate will play a vital role in driving the company's Human Capital strategies, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall objectives, and fostering a productive and engaged workforce.Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar role, ideally in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Practical experience or recognition of prior learning will be considered.
Experience & Knowledge:
  • At least 5 years in a Human Capital generalist function and 3 years in a senior professional role.
  • Solid knowledge of South African HR laws, CCMA arbitration, and relevant industry best practices.
  • Skilled in business and operational planning, project management, policy development, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll, and data analytics.
  • Experience in handling HRIS systems and using data management tools.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing in an aseptic cGMP environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • People Management
  • Align team objectives with the organization's strategy and ensure adequate performance management.
  • Lead role profiling, goal setting, knowledge management, and continuous development of team members.
  • Implement delegation processes to ensure smooth operations during key staff absences.
2. Business Management:
  • Collaborate to achieve site goals, address risks, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide detailed reports on operations, key metrics, and performance indicators.
  • Oversee budget development and maintain a three-year strategic plan to align with the company's goals.
3. Business Partnering:
  • Contribute to the development and execution of Human Capital strategies.
  • Partner with departmental heads to provide guidance on people-related strategies.
  • Analyze workforce data to identify productivity risks and implement mitigation plans.
  • Lead Human Capital projects and support BBBEE planning and audits.
4. Recruitment & Onboarding:
  • Facilitate workforce planning and recruitment to meet talent needs efficiently.
  • Ensure seamless onboarding of new employees and promote career development within the company.
  • Support internal mobility and develop talent pools in line with organizational goals.
5. Performance & Talent Development:
  • Lead performance management processes and oversee employee recognition initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Human Capital team to align training plans with business requirements.
  • Ensure timely performance assessments and quality checks.
6. Employee Relations:
  • Handle complex employee relations issues and provide guidance on resolving conflicts.
  • Oversee industrial relations matters at the internal level and in external forums like CCMA.
  • Implement wellness initiatives to enhance team productivity and promote positive workplace dynamics.
7. Training and Development:
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills.
  • Identify development needs and monitor training effectiveness to meet desired outcomes.
8. HR Data Management:
  • Maintain robust HR data governance, compile and present insights to aid strategic decisions.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and data accuracy.
