Job Description


Hyundai Automotive South Africa is looking for a HR Business Partner for KZN and Cape Town (Coastal Regions) who will be responsible for providing strategic, operational, and administrative HR support to the business through appropriate advice and best solutions. We are looking for an experienced and results-driven HR business partner to align our HR initiatives and functions with business objectives and business needs. Their experience in human resources management, will aid our organization in adding value to overall business objectives, providing HR solutions, resolving grievances, retaining a talented workforce, and ensuring compliance with labour law regulations. The successful candidate should ideally be based in KZN or CTN or able to relocate within an agreed time period.
Specific Role ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition & Talent Management

  • Managing the recruitment process (advertising, screening, interviewing, pre-onboarding, onboarding & induction)
  • Enhancing recruitment efforts with the goal of recruiting the right talent
  • Pipeline development
  • Managing the performance management process and administration
  • Monitoring and reporting on workforce and succession planning
  • Identifying opportunities for capability development
  • Identifying training needs for teams and individuals
People & Policies
  • Managing relationships with management, employees, external and internal stakeholders
  • Aligning employees to business objectives
  • Promoting a sound employee relations climate
  • Resolving IR matters; staff issues, disputes, grievances etc.
  • Managing disciplinary hearings
  • Providing HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Representing the organisation at dispute resolution bodies (DRC/CCMA)
  • Employee onboarding / offboarding
  • Custodian of transformation initiatives
  • Managing staff wellness initiatives
  • Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
HR Analytics & Reporting
  • Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly reporting for Management
  • Providing accurate, timely and comprehensive reporting
  • Analyzing trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies
Industrial Relations
  • Grievance resolution
  • Representing the organization at dispute resolution bodies (DRC/CCMA)
  • Familiar with MIBCO agreements
  • Comfortable with engaging with external stakeholders (Unions, etc)
Qualifications and Experience
  • 5 years HR generalist experience, including the full spectrum of HR practices
  • Bachelors Degree with a major in Human Resource Management or Industrial Pyschology
  • Postgraduate qualification in Industrial Pyschology will be advantegous
  • Knowledge of human resources concepts and related regulatory requirements
  • Thorough knowledge and application of labour legislation
  • The successful candidate should ideally be based in KZN or CTN or able to relocate within an agreed time period
