Job Summary As a Human Capital Manager, you will act as a strategic partner to the management team, providing HR expertise on organizational development, workforce planning, and company culture.This role oversees all aspects of HR practices and processes, supporting business needs and ensuring the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives.
The incumbent will manage the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.They will also be responsible for the strategic development and adoption of HR policies, including employee benefits, and ensuring compliance across the organization, including union relations.Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment and selection process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Develop and implement strategies for talent acquisition and retention.
  • Manage employee relations such as grievances and disciplinary issues. Attend and manage union meetings and matters as required, providing mediation and conflict resolution services where needed.
  • Guide and educate branch managers on employee performance evaluations and provide recommendations for improvements. Develop strategies to track and evaluate employee performance using historical data to implement suitable measures to improve overall performance.
  • Manage and oversee the administration of employee benefits programs such as provident fund, compensation structures, payroll, and rewards programs.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. Manage any legal issues related to employment, including employee contracts, terminations, and workplace policies.
  • Manage and run employment equity meetings and oversee the execution of the plan.
  • Design and implement employee training programs to support professional development and performance enhancement.
  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures that align with company goals and create a consistent and transparent approach to employee management.
  • Promote workplace health and safety policies, review current OHS policies and files, establish employee well-being initiatives, and promote inclusion and diversity in the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar HR management role, with proven experience in leading HR functions.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to coach and develop teams.
  • High level of organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Working Conditions
  • Full-time position, standard working hours with potential for additional hours as necessary.
