Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager with a strong background in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of HR experience within construction and possess deep knowledge of workforce management, labor laws, and compliance in the industry. This role will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and training programs.

Key Responsibilities:



Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process for all levels of employees, ensuring workforce needs are met. Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and industry standards. Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans. Design and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance. Maintain and update HR policies and procedures to reflect current legal requirements and best practices. Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and compensation structures. Foster a positive work culture by promoting engagement, diversity, and inclusion within the workforce. Handle HR-related compliance and audits, including OSHA, EEOC, and union regulations if applicable. Collaborate with senior management to support business objectives and workforce planning.

Qualifications and Skills:



Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is a plus. Minimum of 10 years of HR experience in the construction industry. In-depth understanding of employment laws, labor regulations, and safety compliance in the construction sector. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Experience handling union relations and collective bargaining agreements is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple projects and deadlines. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: R15000,00 - R20000,00 per month
