Job Description


The HR Manager will lead and manage all human resources functions within the organisation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with relevant legislation. This role involves overseeing recruitment, training, performance management, employee relations, and policy development while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture. The HR Manager will also provide strategic HR guidance to senior leadership and ensure effective implementation of HR initiatives to support organisational growth.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategic HR Leadership

  • Partner with the Executive Director to plan and implement HR strategies that enhance organisational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Lead HR policy development, implementation, and continuous improvement.
Talent Management & Employee Relations
  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring efficient hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures, including CCMA and arbitration cases.
  • Monitor employee engagement and drive initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
Performance Management & Training
  • Implement and manage performance review processes, salary reviews, and incentive programmes.
  • Assess training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives.
  • Support leadership with succession planning and career development programmes.
HR Compliance & Administration
  • Ensure up-to-date HR policies, procedures, and compliance with labour legislation.
  • Manage payroll movements, including overtime, maternity leave, and salary adjustments.
  • Oversee BEE, EE reporting, and Skills Development compliance.
  • Conduct regular HR audits and risk assessments.
Communication & Employee Engagement
  • Maintain clear communication channels across the organisation, including newsletters and internal announcements.
  • Develop and implement employee recognition programmes.
  • Advise senior leadership on HR-related decisions and messaging.
Budget & External Relationship Management
  • Manage HR budgets, vendor relationships, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure efficient management of external service providers related to HR functions.
