Job Description


Requirements:

  • Relevant HR Degree.
  • Matric/ Grade 12.
  • Valid Drivers License & Own Vehicle.
  • Medically Fit.

Salary: R45 000 R65 000. Salary range is based on experience.

Experience & Role Requirements:
  • 8 10 Years minimum functional HR experience within the Mining Industry.
  • 5 Years minimum management experience at a senior level.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR Legislation.
  • Experience with UIF, Payroll, Labour Law, etc.
  • Develop, implement, and manage the functional and strategic plan.
  • Develop a skills development plan for all staff within the prescribed timeframe.
  • Ensure effective and equitable incentivisation within the Group, so talent, skills & results are rewarded.
  • Compile monthly management reports as required.
  • Implement performance management/ talent management initiatives to ensure enhanced knowledge & skills sharing/ transfer.
  • Develop, update & implement all HR policies and procedures.
  • Set salary scales & allowances to ensure parity across the Group.
  • Manage the Payroll System and be responsible for forwarding final Pay.
  • Run Excel data to the Finance Department within the required timeframe.
  • Onboarding & exiting of employees.
  • End to end payroll processing, oversight and administration on payroll system which includes new engagements, terminations, staff movements and monthly payroll input.
  • Benefit & third-party payment processing and administration.
  • Systems administration and maintenance.
  • Manage the allocated budget & forecast annual operational expenses in line with guidelines. Manage costs against approved budget.
  • Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures and ensure good governance is adhered to. Contribute to the executive team by evaluating business results.
  • Drawing up employment contracts.
  • Developing job descriptions, assisting with the recruitment & selection process, in-basket testing, interview questions.
  • Undertake/assist with the planning and delivery of HR-related projects.
  • Manage, advise on, and assist in day-to-day HR operational issues.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Able to work without supervision and supervise staff as and when required. Able to function within a team and deal with demanding co-workers. Available to travel for training purposes.
  • Able to work for long periods on own when management is away.
