My client a leading company providing expertise in Microbiology and Consulting and a broadened footprint of scientific specialities in Chemistry, Research, Education, Labelling and Sensory offers an exciting opportunity for a well rounded HR Officer/Generalist in their Midrand offices and laboratory.My client requires a young, vibrant candidate with exceptional people skills.Please note that this role also serves as an Office Manager with a key focus on Relationship Building.My client needs a suitably qualified Human Resource Officer to support in all Human Resources Operations and ensure alignment to the organisational business goals.The role will report to the Senior Human Resource Manager.Requirements:A formal qualification in Human Resources. Bachelors or BTech Degree or National Diploma from an accredited university ESSENTIALValid Drivers LicenseA minimum of 5 years in a Human Resource Generalist RoleMust be highly proficient in ExcelMust have experience in Office ManagementExperience in a food safety, chemical or laboratory environment will be highly beneficialMust be able to communicate and drive the HR agenda with the relevant department managers.SA Citizens onlyMust be Criminal ClearMust be fluent in English and an African languageMust reside in the Greater Johannesburg areaResponsibilities:Build and maintain relationships with the various stakeholdersFacilitate the recruitment and selection process within the unit in conjunction with the relevant line managers.Support and facilitation of all facets of industrial relations, inclusive of scheduling disciplinary enquiries, and grievances.Support and facilitation of the performance management process within the unit, inclusive of probation, performance appraisals and poor work performance counselling.Review HR Metrics and information and metric analysisAct as point of contact for employees and managersProvide HR guidance and support.Work closely with department managers and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity as well as staff retention.Facilitate people related issues with the relevant management stakeholders for solutioning.Generate all required HR administration within deadlines.General office administration.Event management
