HR Specialist - Cape TownFull job descriptionAmandla Development is a non-profit organisation that works to empower South African youth, primarily in the Philippi and Mitchells Plain areas, with equal access to quality education opportunities, through the Cradle to Career approach. We do this by building capacity in effective grassroots organisations working in education, health, and other areas on the cradle-to-career journey in order to maximise their impact.We are looking for a skilled and experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our Philippi-based team in this newly created position.As the Human Resources Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the organisation in the development and execution of the HR strategy aligned to the strategic objectives including but not limited to:xc2xb7 Developing HR policy and procedurexc2xb7 Reviewing organisational structuresxc2xb7 Developing and evaluating on- boarding processesxc2xb7 Talent managementxc2xb7 Staff retention strategiesxc2xb7 Performance managementxc2xb7 Managing of employee dataxc2xb7 Ensuring compliance to Labour LegislationThe requirements for this position are:Minimum of a Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Human ResourcesEvidence-based experience in setting up a HR department, developing and implementing strategy, policies and procedures.xc2xb7 Strong knowledge of Labour legislationProof of change management experienceExcellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment including Excel and Power Point.Proven ability to multitask under pressure against demands and deadlines, whilst always maintaining a positive and constructive attitudeExcellent oral and written communicationCollaborative skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholdersTo apply, submit 1) a CV, (2 pages maximum), and 2) a one-page motivational letter outlining both your relevant experience and interest in the role to info@amandladev.org.
