• Relevant HSE qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as HSE manager within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of OHS-Act, Government, and local authority legislation.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 and implementation of these systems.
• ISO 19001 competent and a minimum 3- years auditing experience.
• Audits, risk assessments and PHAs
• Medical Surveillance and Health screening
• Auditing and Compliance Evaluations
• Facility and process assessments to determine risks and remedies.
• Report on findings and follow up.
• Implement corrective actions timeously.
• Implements HSE plan and guidelines.
• Facilitate risk assessment reports and registers to comply with legislative and standard requirements.
• Assist in Process Hazard analysis, recommendation, and implementation.
• Third party risk engineering assessments facilitation and actioning of actions plans from these.
• Hygiene Risk assessment reviews
• Ensure hygiene surveys are carried out as per legislative requirement.
• Schedule entry and exit medicals and confirm fit to work or exit status in conjunction with HR
• Facilitate the scheduling of occupational health medical surveillance program.
• With HR, assess medical reports and ensure that abnormalities are monitored and discussed with individuals concerned.
• With HR, monitoring of primary health illnesses and ensuring employees maintain their fitness status.
• Provide info to HR to facilitate disability processing and medical reports and documentation, and provide guidance where required.
• Compilation of resources, policies, procedures, works instruction and safe operating procedures are rolled out throughout facilities.
• Setting evaluation criteria and communicating this to all facilities.
• Auditing of processes and facilities in line with ISO as well as legislative compliance requirements and reporting thereof.
• Assist employees to action and close out findings, including external audits
• Ensure that bi-annual environmental screening is conducted, and findings are actioned.
• Conduct monthly site inspections to monitor compliance
