Good health and quality of life is what motivates us to provide healthcare solutions and support for those who need it most.We are looking for an HTS Manager to provide leadership and operational management and implementation of the Anova community-based response at district level.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and co-ordinate strategies to implement and to manage the Anova community-based response in the region/s:

  • Targeted interventions
  • Prevent new infections
  • Reduce HIV morbidity and mortality through
  • An improved and sustain HIV and TB care response in the community
Implementation and scale up of targeted intervention in the sub-district to disrupt the HIV/TB epidemic in the communities:
  • Establish and manage Anova community response/ action teams that focus direct service delivery
Advancing community health:
  • Establish and mange Anova community support/ development teams that focus on technical support to community-oriented primary care (COPC)
  • Support COPC by supporting the ward-based outreach teams
  • Address bottlenecks and challenges with an emphasis on community based primary health care and create an environment that will lead to HIV epidemic control
Co-ordinating and support to Anovas sub-partners in the region:
  • Takes responsibility for co-ordinating and overseeing activities of sub- partners in the regions
  • Support contractual management of partners
  • Identify needs, allocate resources in line with regional budget
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of Anova partners
Analyse and interpret health information at district / sub-structure level:
  • Generate systematic information and use it to support implementation strategies
  • Use data to separate implementation strategy failure from intervention failure
  • Use data to link targeted intervention with contexts
Ensure effective and well-organized management structure for the community-based response in the province:
  • Direct supervision to the community response teams and the community development teams
  • Manage equipment and resources
Relationship with community and stakeholders:
  • Builds relationships with community structures, engages community, engages other stakeholders, inter-sectoral collaboration
  • Support the relationships between FB and CS staff
Learn and development:
  • Identify knowledge and skill gaps
  • Ensure ongoing training of PHC community-based teams
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required
  • A qualified health care and allied professional or a masters degree in social science (Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology, Demography),
  • At least 5 years experience in working in the HIV field, preferably in the community.
  • Experience of working in donor funded programmes
  • Experience of implementing in health systems development and community development in or with the Department of Health
  • Knowledge and experience of primary health care and COPC
  • Knowledge and experience in providing HIV/TB services in and outside clinics.
  • Experience in patient behaviour and social determents of health
  • Knowledge of latest HIV/TB/PMTCT guidelines
  • Knowledge of 959595 strategy and other Health related policies
  • Computer Literate (MS Office package)
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Vaccinated
