Reports To: Group HR Manager, Bothongo GroupJob Summary:Lion & Safari Park, a premier destination within the Bothongo Group, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resource Manager to lead our HR department. This individual will oversee all HR functions within the park, ensuring that our team operates efficiently and aligns with the broader goals of the Bothongo Group. The Human Resource Manager will work closely with the Group HR Manager to implement group-wide HR strategies, while also addressing the specific needs of Lion & Safari Park.Key Responsibilities:HR Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the goals and objectives of Lion & Safari Park.
  • Collaborate with the Group HR Manager to integrate and execute group-wide HR initiatives at the park.
Talent Acquisition & Management:
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Develop and implement retention strategies to maintain a high level of employee satisfaction and reduce turnover.
  • Manage talent development programs, including training, career development, and succession planning.
Employee Relations:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, addressing concerns, grievances, and conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication and a strong organisational culture.
Compliance & Policy Management:
  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Ensure proper documentation and handling of foreign national employees work permits and other necessary documentation.
Performance Management:
  • Oversee the performance management process, including setting goals, conducting performance reviews, and providing feedback.
  • Work with department heads to identify and address performance issues, implementing improvement plans as needed.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Gather all approved payroll information and provide it to the Group HR Manager for payroll processing.
HR Administration:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and HR databases.
  • Prepare and submit HR reports to the Group HR Manager as required.
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries and benefits.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR management experience, preferably within the hospitality or tourism industry.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working within a group of companies is advantageous.
