Human Resources Manager Krugersdorp JohannesburgOur manufacturing/engineering client in Krugersdorp seeks the expertise of a Human Resources Manager with solid 5 years plus IR experience with Blue collar staff. Full Human Resources and IR experience. Minimum 8 years plus relevant HR Management and ER experience in a unionised manufacturing/engineering technical industry.Salary: UP TO R 1.2 mil CTC plus bonusWorking Hours: 7:30am to 16:30 (M-T) and 7:30am to 13:00 FridayPosition Type: PermanentStart date: As soon as possibleIndustry Type: Manufacturing / Engineering /TechnicalMinimum Requirements:

  • Matric with Degree in Human Resources
  • Labour Relations Qualification
  • 8 year plus experience within Human resources blue colours and unions
  • 8 years plus HR/IR/ER Management experience
  • Minimum 5 + years relevant IR experience in a unionised manufacturing /engineering / technical industry.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in strategic leadership.
  • Computer literacy MS Office, SAGE 300 and ERS time and attendance
  • Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations
Key Duties:IR ResponsibilitiesManage employee relations: Handle employee grievances, disputes, and complaintsEnsure compliance: Make sure the company complies with labour laws, including wage and hour laws, safety regulations, and other employment-related lawsDevelop policies: Create and implement policies and procedures related to industrial relationsNegotiate: Unions Oversee negotiationsMediate: Help resolve conflicts and disputes between employees and managementTrain employees: Ensure that line management are regularly updated and trained in industrial relations proceduresImplement programs: Create programs to reward achievements and encourage positive behaviourProvide advice: Advise management on industrial relations issues, workforce planning, and productivity issuesPrepare reports: Prepare and present reports and recommendations to managementChair Employment Equity Meetings: Attend monthly meetings and provide feedback to Management and resolve any disputes and/or queriesHR ResponsibilitiesRecruitment: Oversee the recruitment process, including candidate sourcing and selectionTraining: Plan and implement training programs for employeesEmployee relations: Oversee employee relations, including resolving disputes and complaintsPerformance management: Manage employee performancePayroll Management: Manage and upload time and attendance data for Production Director approval of waged staff hours and overtime in payroll software. Hand over to Financial Manager for payment authorization.Compliance: Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulationsBenefits: Manage employee benefits, including payroll and other servicesCulture: Maintain the company culture and advise executives on workplace conduct policiesSafety: Work closely with Safety Officer to create and maintain a safe work environment and implement safety programsEmployee Records and Data Management: Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
