  • Initiate and drive the learning development strategy and ensuring it encompasses the organisations values and culture.
  • Design and develop learning and development framework in line with talent management.
  • Evaluate individual and organisational development needs and implement suitable learning methods i.e. e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings.
  • Assess the success of development plans and assist employees to make the best of learning opportunities
  • Drive the implementation of career management with leaders and employees to identify, deploy and energise talent.
  • Manage the submission of the ATR and WSP reports and ensure compliance to SETA and government regulations.
Performance Management
  • Build and maintain effective business relationships with all key stakeholders and maintain regular interactions
  • Partner with the Head of HR to develop and implement an EVP solution and framework
  • Support workforce planning practices to ensure staffing requirements are accurately forecasted.
  • Assist line managers to proactively pre-empt and troubleshoot risk that will challenge the delivery of objectives and responsibilities
  • Provide advice to line managers on complicated issues relating to industrial relations and employee issues.
Operations and Reporting
  • Assist HR team with any operational challenges and support with problem solving
  • Develop reports, dashboards and metrics from all HR data sources periodically and for all stakeholders.
  • Maintain record and report on training courses, schedules, and results.
  • Submit monthly reports on HR KPA/KPI and deliverables
Job Evaluation and Description
  • Draft clear job descriptions for all new positions and existing positions which have changed.
  • Update job descriptions on a regular basis.
  • Present any new posts, re-evaluations or proposed restructures to the Remunerations / Grading Committee.
Compliance, Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure that HR policies and practices comply with business and local statutory requirements
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices and regulatory changes in HR, Talent and employment law.
  • Drive policy training through workshops with the organisation
  • Serve on the EE/Skills development committee and act as an HR representative to support compliance to the legislation/EE constitution.
Required qualifications, skills, and experience.
  • A Degree / Diploma in Human Resources Management, Organisational Development and / or Industrial Organisation Psychology
  • Min. 5 years experience in a similar role, with an NGO or Health Organisation
  • Must have knowledge of LRA, BCEA, EE Act, Skills Development Act and B-BBEE Act
  • Registered as an Industrial Organisational Psychologist/Psychometrist, a strong advantage
  • Be a registered member of the South-African Board of People Practices (SABPP) and/or the Institute of Personal Management of South-Africa (IPM) or any other human resources regulatory body
  • Experience in managing an organisational learning budget.
  • Experience liaising with Senior Managers.
  • Highly collaborative and approachable team member with strong soft skill and ability to lead a team.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage work in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects and work streams with competing time/resource demands.
  • Able to demonstrate a sense of urgency in the performance of functions.
  • Proficiency in (MS Office Suite)
  • Experience on SAGE 300 People / ESS will be advantageous.
  • Fluent in English and a local language (written and verbal)
  • Valid Drivers License
