Human Resources (HR) Manager
Southern SuburbsAre you looking for your new career adventure within HR?We have a really great client company seeking a switched-on, energetic Human Resources Manager to bring innovation and change to the company for the good of everyone.The purpose of this role is to maintain and enhance the organisations human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resource policies, programs and practices.This manufacturing concern is located in the Southern Peninsula (far south of Cape Town).Requirements, Qualification & Experience:

  • Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • 5 years experience in a similar role with proven track record in managing HR functions
  • Experience in using various types of HR systems, HR metrics
  • Sound knowledge of HR processes & procedures and legal compliance
  • In-depth knowledge of BCEA, LRA, EE, BBB-EE, POPI and PAIA Acts and HR best practices, policies and regulations
  • Sage 300 People experience is preferential
Key Competencies:
  • Time management and numerical skills are essential
  • Fluent in English with ability to communicate in Afrikaans is preferable
  • Sound problem solving, excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills and strategic thinking
  • Self-motivated with results driven approach
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of MS packages
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Sound conflict resolution skills

  • Adaptability and team-building skill
Responsibilities
  • HR Leadership: Build, lead and mentor the HR department to ensure efficient and effective HR operations. Manage Office Administrator and Housekeeping staff
  • Onboarding: Develop and oversee the onboarding process for all internal and external employees, ensuring a seamless and positive experience
  • Offboarding: Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews, knowledge transfer and ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Talent Management: Collaborate with management team to ensure the right talent is appointed and retained
  • HR Strategy: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategies and keep HR policies updated
  • Talent Relations: Address and resolve team issues and conflicts providing support and guidance as needed
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all necessary regulations and internal policies (all statutory and legal compliance)
  • Performance Management: Oversee performance management processes, including appraisals and development plans
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance talent skills and performance
  • Company Culture: Manage and promote a positive company culture that aligns with our values and mission
  • Budgets: Plan and prepare budgets relating to the HR function and ensure that budgets are adhered to
  • Audits: Prepare audit packs and participate in audits
