Job Description


The primary role of this job is to support good health and safety practices within the food manufacturing process through well-developed cleaning processes, used equipment, and training provided.Educational Requirements

  • A bachelors degree in food science and Meat Science (strongly preferred)
  • Any of the listed Food Safety Certifications - HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) standards and Hygiene Practice, ISO 22000, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and OHSAS 18001 - Occupational Health and Safety Management System (essential as nature of job requires)
Experience Requirements
  • 3 - 5 years working experience in meat-related field
  • At least 2 years of managerial experience in a similar position
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Abaserve
General Competence Required
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal)
  • Fluent in English (essential), Xhosa (preferable)
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Very responsible, hardworking, dedicated, and very passionate about production
  • Organized and able to work under pressure with excellent time management skills
  • Detail-oriented with prolonged attention span
  • Business-minded and able to make informed decisions
  • Excellent managerial skills
