Job SummaryICT Infrastructure Team Lead IT - Infrastructure
Stellenbosch - Western CapeENVIRONMENT:THE technical expertise of an ICT Infrastructure Team Lead is sought by a fast-growing FinTech company with a footprint on the African continent. Your core role will be to plan, design, implement, and maintain the groups ICT Infrastructure. Applicants will require a suitable Degree or Diploma with 3+ years work experience in an IT Support environment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills using logical pragmatic reasoning. You will also be someone with a passion for Africa and a willingness to work in the developing world context.DUTIES:

• IT hardware - includes procurement, setup, maintenance and replacement processes.
• Networking and cabling - ensure consistent high standards throughout the group.
• Connectivity - Data, voice, telephony.
• Desktop security (including antivirus, Patch Management).
• User security awareness and training.
• Desktop support services.
• Management of in-country IT teams (currently 6 people).
• Key supplier relationships and management.
• Google Workspace administration and adoption.
• Cost Management.
• Others: Firewalls, VPN, Queueing systems, CCTV.

REQUIREMENTS:Qualifications

• A relevant Degree or Diploma.

Experience/Skills -

• 3+ Years of relevant work experience in an IT Support environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using logical pragmatic reasoning.
• Attention to detail.
• A concern for order, quality and accuracy. A meticulous approach to work.
• Fast and self-learning abilities.
• Result orientation and eager to work hard and smart.
• Good communication skills.
• Willing to travel.
• Passion for Africa and willingness to work in the developing world context.
