My client, a leader in the retail and supply chain industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Imports Manager to manage and streamline their import operations. If you have been working in an Imports Manager role for the past three years, this opportunity could be the next step in your career.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the entire import process, from purchase order creation to delivery.
- Ensure compliance with import regulations and international trade laws.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely shipments.
- Negotiate with suppliers and service providers to secure the best terms and pricing.
- Handle import documentation, including bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs clearances.
- Monitor and control import costs, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Address and resolve any issues or delays in the import process.
- Minimum 3 years experience as an Imports Manager.
- In-depth knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple imports simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency with import management software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
