Job Summary Hire Resolve's client in the Pharmaceutical Industry is looking for an Inbound Manager to join their team in Gauteng. The inbound manager monitors & tracks receipt, storage, and issue of materials and products; plans & maintains the warehouse, investigates issues related to delivery, rejections, etc. ensures preparedness of
facility for audits; and coordinate materials movements within internal & external stakeholdersResponsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the inbound logistics operations for pharmaceutical products, including receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing incoming shipments.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inbound processes, ensure on-time delivery, and minimize costs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to coordinate inbound shipments and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inbound logistics, such as supplier compliance, inventory levels, and transportation costs.
  • Implement best practices in inventory management, including FIFO (first in, first out) and batch tracing for pharmaceutical products.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for inbound logistics of pharmaceutical products.
  • Lead a team of inbound logistics staff, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customs officials, and internal departments, to support inbound logistics activities.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in inbound logistics processes, technology, and systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inbound logistics management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, import/export requirements, and pharmaceutical supply chain best practices.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or WMS.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Certification in supply chain or logistics management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
