Position: Inbound Stock Controller
Location: GqeberhaPurpose of the Role:The Inbound Stock Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of stock control within the warehouse. This role ensures the efficient receipt, storage, and replenishment of stock, maintaining accurate inventory levels to support operational and financial objectives. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in supply chain management, specifically within a warehouse environment, and will be proficient in using a warehouse management system.Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving Stock:
  • Supervise and coordinate the receipt of incoming stock, ensuring that all deliveries are accurate and complete.
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Ensure that any discrepancies or damaged goods are promptly reported and resolved.
  • Stock Storage:
  • Oversee the proper storage of stock to maintain orderliness and accessibility.
  • Implement and monitor storage procedures to ensure that stock is stored safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock locations and quantities within the warehouse management system.
  • Stock Replenishment:
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure timely replenishment of inventory.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to facilitate the movement of stock within the warehouse.
  • Ensure that replenishment activities are carried out promptly to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS):
  • Utilize the warehouse management system to track and manage inventory.
  • Ensure data accuracy within the WMS by performing regular audits and reconciliations.
  • Generate reports from the WMS to support inventory management and operational decision-making.
  • Collaboration and Reporting:
  • Work closely with the warehouse operations and finance departments to ensure alignment of inventory practices with business goals.
  • Prepare and present inventory reports and analyses to both warehouse operations and finance teams.

  • Continuous Improvements:
  • Identify opportunities for improving stock control processes and procedures.
  • Implement best practices in inventory management to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to team development.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • A relevant qualification in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management within a warehouse environment.
  • Hands-on experience working with a warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory records.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
