How about you?Immediate Superior: [[Albert Andersen]]Location: [[Stellenbosch]]Function: [[Supply Chain ]]Sub Function: [[Customer Service & Logistics]]Type of Contract: [[Permanent]]Reference Number: [[112357]]Closing Date: 14/06/2024Purpose of the jobThe Inbound Transport Manager is responsible for the development and execution of inbound transport plans and dynamic load planning using company assets and third-party transporters. The position is a support function that works closely with Production Scheduling, Warehouse Operations, Procurement, Production, Suppliers, and Transporters. The position will be responsible for all the entire bulk transportation requirements, deployment of stock and Supply Chain transport shuttling operations. The success of the position will be measured on safety, service, savings, and sustainability. Key ResponsibilitiesSafety and SustainabilityEnsure that a safety and sustainability culture is entrenched with transport teams and all incidents, accidents and near misses are reported, investigation and corrective actions implemented and monitored.Implement sustainability programs and track to ensure targets are achieved. Operational ResultsDrive and manage inbound planning teams to deliver on targets.Analyze and evaluate teams performance against inbound planning metrics and provide recommendations and insights to management team and planning teams to improve on the 4 Ss.Manage planning team load plans to achieve optimal productivity and within the required SLAs agreed with Production and Warehouse Teams.Manage the reporting and admin processes to enable the achievement of all operational, financial and customer service targets.Manage the national operational, financial and customer service performance of the Inbound Transport Planning Department.Manage the inbound loads and coordinate with production facilities for accurate arrival timesEnsure compliance with Heineken Beverages Rules, Logistics Standards, Procedures, local legislation applicable to transport operations.Ensure service levels are met to deliver Case Fill Rate (CFR) focusing on the On Time component. Customer and Relationship ResultsBuild effective relationships with external and internal stakeholders.Professional communication, behavior and actions result in a high level of credibility, trust and respect with internal and external stakeholdersManage the Logistics Service Provider (LSP)relation and performance according to the LSP management approach in line with our strategy and standards. Innovation and Improvement ResultsDrive continuous improvement and implement business improvement initiatives.Share and implement new ideas regarding distribution planning and improving effectiveness of planning systems and processes.Collaborate with LSPs and other stakeholders to identify and roll-out joint-improvement initiatives to improve performance. TPM and Continuous ImprovementDrive continuous improvement by being a link to the Transport Pillar, its strategy and control systems, and manage support the Pillar Team, resources and improvement team planning according to TPM methodology. Management Information ReportingPrepare, articulate, and follows up on management reports, in line with global reporting standards and/or local requirements. LeadershipLead and manage change, in support of corporate, divisional and team goals.Clearly communicate and implement plans, initiatives and KPIs.Develop a culture of excellence.Lead effective internal and external relationships.Develop sound business relations with Suppliers and Service Providers.Coach Teams in monitoring and improving the transport process execution. Qualifications, Skills and Experience RequiredDegree in Logistics or similarMinimum of 5 years experience in an FMCG and bulk transport environmentRouting and Scheduling system, vehicle tracking and telematics experience advantageous.Working Knowledge of SAP and advanced MS Office experience advantageousIntegrated transport planning experience The Companys approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
