Our client is a leading financial services company, delivering a broad range of financial services and products, on a face-to-face model and via integrated electronic platforms. They specifically focus on wealth management, asset management and insurance solutions for individuals, families and enterprises.This client is looking for a qualified black South African female ideally - for this specific post.JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

• You will be required to ensure ethical and legal operations, overseeing risk management and internal controls while maintaining independence;
• You will be required to review company performance and strategy;
• You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable regulations;
• You will be responsible for promoting good corporate governance practices;
• You will be required to ensure the company operates legally and ethically;
• You will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential risks;
• You will be required to evaluate finance decisions;
• You will be required to ensure accurate financial reporting;
• You will be required to participate in board and committee meetings.

• You have the ability to exercise sound judgement;
• You are a strategic thinker to contribute to long term planning;
• You have a strong sense of integrity and adherence to ethical standards.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• You have a minimum of 15 xe2x80x93 20 years current, relevant experience in financial services industry;
• You have been in a leadership role, responsible for operational requirements (knowledgeable about business operations);
• You have been in a role as director or independent director of a FS company;
• You have a strong understanding of financial principles and reporting standards;
• You have some audit and risk knowledge / background as this person is earmarked to sit on audit and social and ethics committee;
• You will be required to be on the board as well as a member for both the audit and social and ethics committee.
