They believe their success is in their reliable products, people and culture.PURPOSE OF THE ROLEA Procurement Manager with an Industrial Engineering background in a pharmaceutical company plays a crucial role in streamlining purchasing processes, optimizing supply chain operations, and ensuring the cost-effective acquisition of high-quality materials necessary for productionKEY PERFORMANCE AREASDevelop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's businessgoals and operational requirements, with a focus on cost reduction, qualityimprovement, and supply chain sustainability.Conduct market analysis to identify trends, assess risks, and leverage opportunities forcost savings and supply chain optimization.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, R&D, qualityassurance, and finance, to understand material requirements and ensure theprocurement strategy supports all aspects of the business.Manage supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts, evaluating performanceand developing partnerships that enhance value for both parties.Utilize industrial engineering principles to analyze and optimize procurement andsupply chain processes, including inventory management, logistics, and material flow.Implement and maintain procurement policies and procedures that comply withregulatory requirements and industry best practices.Lead and develop the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuousimprovement and professional growth.Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement andsupply chain efficiency, cost savings, and supplier performance.Stay informed of advancements in procurement technologies and industrial engineeringpractices, and assess their potential application within the organizationMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATIONBachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or relatedfield.A Masters degree is preferred.EXPERIENCE.Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, withat least 2 years in a managerial role, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry.Strong understanding of industrial engineering principles and their application toProcurement and supply chain optimization.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to buildrelationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Proficient in data analysis and the use of procurement software and tools.Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry standards, regulations, and compliancerequirements.Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with a commitment to developing talentSKILLS/PHYSICAL COMPETENCIESExcelMicrosoft WordTime managementAttention to detailBEHAVIOURAL QUALITIESAttention to DetailInterpersonal skillsGood communication skillsGood complianceCOLLABORATIONThe role demands a high level of decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planningGENERAL WORKING CONDITIONSThe role demands a high level of decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic planningTRAVELNonePlease submit your CV with photo to and kindly let me know what you are currently earning please?
