Industrial Engineer - JohannesburgThis role focuses on improving productivity, reducing costs, and enhancing the overall efficiency of the warehouse.Key Responsibility Areas:
- Process improvement
- Facility layout and design
- Data analysis and reporting
- Inventory management
- Labor management
- Continuous improvements
- Technology integration
- Health and safety
- Project management
- Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, preferably within a warehouse or distribution centre environment
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software for layout design
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, PowerQuery, Power BI)
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Proficiency in simulation modelling and tools such as AnyLogic or similar software
