Responsible for meeting assigned sales targets for CTO cranes, other components and other light lifting equipment etc. for assigned areas of responsibility; activities include managing sales funnel/sales cases (from leads to won offers), customer communications and relationships, account management and customer and contact data. Provides technical sales support with product configurations and pricing to Equipment and Service Sales Representatives. Main Responsibilities:

Promotes, supports and sells Equipment products within an assigned geographical area and product range to achieve sales targets. Together with other Sales Representatives identifies leads for other business units, promotes cross selling activities and culture in the organization.
Establishes annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly sales support plans and prioritises and schedules own activities ensuring sales targets are met. Develops sales plans with Equipment and Service Sales Representatives for key accounts.
Persues sales leads, respond to inbound leads, prequalify leads generated, visits existing and new customers, assesses customer needs and suggests appropriate product and application solutions to customers.
Ensures pricing is within company expectations and industry levels
Generate quotations and supports quotation process, answers technical questions, negotiates prices and delivery times and concludes sales orders together with other Sales Representatives.
Responsible for sales cases and/or account actions as needed to support activities generated
Utilises current CRM system in the sales process efficiently and reports on leads and sales activities regularly. Follow up on potential quotations, projects and maintain all data in the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
Manages detailed sales leads with clear and effective quotation preparation and process.
Refers customer feedback and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization.
Responsible for cross-functional operations, ensuring all tasks are completed according to sales and marketing strategies. Participates in hand over of major projects and problem resolution (reclamations, safety issues, etc.).
To be fully aware of and comply with current responsibilities and requirements of the relevant OHS Acts, Regulations and applicable Health and Safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe workplace.
Report all hazards, incidents and injuries in accordance with legislation and company reporting procedures;
Participate in programs and assessments to improve health and safety in the workplace.
Execute all functions in line with the applicable delegation of authority
Perform other duties as assigned
Key Job Requirements:
Qualification/Education:
National Higher Diploma (NQF level 6)
Valid drivers license
Skills & Knowledge:
2+ years work experience in industry-related equipment sales, services sales or relevant.
Good understanding of crane industry business.
Experience in sales and business development process
Sound technical background
Commercial knowledge
Must be able to work in confined spaces; elevated areas and at heights
Must be able to travel locally and outside SA for operational requirements
Proficiency with MS Office applications e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience working with customer relations management (CRM) or similar tools
