Advise managers and employees on Labour relations matters
Maintain organized Labour consultative structures
Facilitate internal dispute resolution measures, grievances, and disciplinary processes.
To assist the team with the consistent and effective management of IR issues in line with the company policies and procedures and according to legislative requirements
Maintain constructive relationships with trade unions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
Represent the company in union engagements, including disciplinary hearings, CCMA cases, and bargaining councils.
Ensure compliance with the Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act, and industry agreements
Provide guidance on the interpretation of employment contracts and workplace policies.
Prepare case files, gather evidence, and advocate on behalf of the company in CCMA hearings.
Labour Law Compliance: Ensure the company is compliant with South African labour laws, advising on regulatory changes and potential impacts on their workforce.
Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for management and staff on IR/ER topics, including labour law updates, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution.
Chairing disciplinary hearings and setting up the account of outcome.
