1. Scope of the roleRole purpose:Ensure reliable operation and availability of Packaging equipment by effectively managing packaging maintenance programmes. Provide first line corrective action and troubleshooting for production equipment failures, to minimize downtime and losses.Key responsibilities:These are some of the KRAs:

• Ensure reliable operation and availability of Packaging equipment by effectively managing packaging maintenance programmes.
• Provide first line corrective action and troubleshooting for production equipment failures, to minimise downtime and losses.
• Optimise the operation of packaging equipment to improve process efficiency and product quality.
• Ensure that packaging equipment operates safely and meets all legislative, and Heineken standards.
• Ensure cost effective packaging maintenance by developing and managing packaging maintenance budgets, including spare parts inventory.
• Support the development of packaging staff by providing technical expertise in packaging AM and PM processes.
• Ensure the department operates within company SHE standards and OHS Act, through continued education and training and obtaining the co-operation and commitment of all staff to observe all safety rules, procedures and processes in order to drive zero accident mentality.
• Drive improvement processes and set priorities in order to develop, implement and maintain best in class standards and basic conditions.

2. Role profileLanguage(s):English both oral and writtenQualifications and experienceQualifications:

• B SC. (Eng) or B Tech (Eng) or Trade Tested N6 Mechanical/Electrical or Equivalent

Experience

• 5-10 years maintenance experience in production or technical environment.
• Strong analytical skills.
• SAP PM knowledge will be an added advantage.
