:Are you ready to make a significant impact in the Water and Wastewater industry across Sub-Equatorial Africa? Join a market leader as their Local Industry Manager to set the course and lead the charge in developing and growing this vital sector for them.About the Role:In this role, you will be at the forefront of strategic planning and execution for the Water and Wastewater industry. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Developing local industry plans and strategic actions based on global strategies.

• Collaborating with sales, projects, and service teams to create and implement a 3-5 year business plan.

• Leading and managing the Local Industry Group, providing direction and technical guidance to the sales force.

• Overseeing product launches and phase-outs, specifically focusing on Level and Pressure portfolios.

• Driving customer development, promoting industry value propositions, and conducting training sessions for sales teams and customers.

• Gathering and analyzing local market intelligence to identify trends and opportunities.

• Conducting regular strategic customer visits and organizing customer/industry events.

RequirementsEssential:

• National Diploma in Industrial Instrumentation, Electronic or Chemical Engineering.

• In-depth knowledge of Measurement Principles, SAP, and BAP.

• At least 10 years of experience in sales/service in plant processes.

• At least 8 years of experience in the Water and Wastewater Industry.

• Valid drivers license and passport.

Desirable:

• Post Graduate or Degree in Marketing.

• Diploma in Marketing/BTech in Engineering.

Skills and Attributes:

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Excellent organizational and planning abilities.

• Proven customer and supplier liaison skills.

• Strategic thinking and business development planning capabilities.

• Proficient in negotiation and analytical skills.

• Knowledge of local media and industry ecosystems.

Travel Requirements:

• South Africa: 5-6 times per year.

• Africa: 2-3 times per year.

• International: 1-2 times per year.
