Our client requires the services of a Software Engineer (Advanced) Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office Rotation

  • +-5 years of DevOps (Operations, configuration/development) experience in commercial/and/or retail end user IT applications.
  • Relevant Integration Technologies.
  • Multinational company Implementations.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
  • A sound knowledge of IT security requirements for enterprise IT middleware solutions.
  • Extensive experience in implementing and monitoring interfaces and understanding the use of the various message types.
  • Working knowledge of various message standards including XML, JSON and IDOCs.
  • Design & Build - Data modelling of New Interfaces.
  • Ensures infrastructure operation and Technical Lifecycle Management (TLM) is up to date.
  • Document Interface Landscape, provide technical updates in Interface Contracts for interfaces deployed.
  • Understanding of various communication protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, OFTP and VANs.
  • Knowledge of various EAI middleware tools.
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
ADVANTAGEOUS
  • Working knowledge with:
  • Software development languages such as XML and XSLT etc.
  • Understanding of:
  • Network configuration including TCP/IP, DNS, virtual private networks, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
  • File and message transfers.
  • Experience:
  • Knowledge of logistical purchasing and freight forwarding processes
  • SAP IDOC message processing
  • Unix Scripting Languages.
  • Unix File System and File Mounts.
  • SSH, PGP and other encryption technologies.
  • File encryption and Certificates.
  • Basic Linux Admin.

ROLE:
  • You will be a member of the DevOps team assuming responsibility for onboarding, mapping, and operation of B2B partners.
  • Identifies new training requirements and conducts training of further team members.
  • Onboards new team members regarding technical aspects of document and output management solutions.
  • Supports the product owner with options regarding future software decisions based on knowledge of changing customer demands, technical features and conducted technical tests (proof of concepts).
  • Supports the product owner to shape the product roadmap.
  • Execution according to the GROUP Agile Methodology and attending of all team meetings, including Stand-ups, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospectives, Sprint Planning meetings etc.
  • Daily use of the Agile Tool Chain, as per the updates required by the respective feature team(s).
  • Support the Domain on Dev/Ops/Deployments.
