• Relevant IT Degree / Diploma / Equivalent experience
• 5 years plus in a similar role, more than 10 year plus total experience required in Senior Technical Software Test Analyst role.
• ISTQBxc2xae International Software Testing Qualifications Board Certified
• Accredited Management Development certification advantageous

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Management of Functional and non-functional Testing (Frontend, Backend, Unit, and Integration testing) in a Java environment
• Establishing and manage Automation Testing (Frontend and backend, Performance and load, and integration) in a Java environment
• Strong leadership skills and test management skills
• Ability to effectively plan and manage Testing Processes
• Strong understanding of STLC
• Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS

• Technical skills: Java EE, Java Spring Boot, Azure Cloud infrastructure
• Understanding Java application architecture and design patterns

ROLE:

• Cross functionally lead and steer all test analysts and automation testers in the department to ensure sufficient quality of releases.
• Test Reports to all stakeholders that need feedback on test management
• Stakeholder and business engagement and management.
• Constantly building good Team culture with healthy team dynamics.
• Pro-active knowledge sharing, mentoring, and coaching of test team members.
• Identify risks / impediments and proactively resolve them and escalate as necessary
• Taking ownership for all aspects of the ZA Type Approval Management (TAM) testing, including test delivery, performance, upskilling, capacity, and coaching.
• Ensure automation testing is established in all Feature Teams.
• Responsible for ensuring entry and exit gateways take place.
• Creation of the test strategy within the product fulfilling the AWM requirements and fitting to overall test process.
• Plan and manage the relevant test resources within the teams.
• You are the first point of contact for all test topics within the department.
• Take full ownership and responsibility for everything testing related in the department.
• Monitor, report and rectify anything necessary on all department test activities and overall department test status.
• Other responsibilities as per AWM Charter or as decided by department manager.
• Ensure processes are in place and working well for defect management.
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) with both technical and non-technical colleagues/users
• Plan, organize and support test case creation and adaptation around business and internal testing requirements.
