Accountant / Finance Business Partner - Umhlanga
A Well Know Service Cente is looking for an Accountant / finance business partner.
The successful candidate will be required to work closely with service centres creating a real and active partnership with both operations and management.
Responsibilities:
Track financial performance, provide real-time support with financial information, forecasting and analysis to help guide decision making and set strategy and to be a trusted advisor whilst:
Ensuring the quality, integrity and accuracy of financial information
Ensuring that all statutory obligations are met
Ensuring adequate internal financial Controls and the safeguarding of company assets
Co-ordinating activities of Finance and Accounting
Financial / Accounting
Monitor / Maintain working capital levels.
Monitor margin levels and related costs.
Monitor levels of all Base Costs, Other Rev ,Ex and Net Financial Income.
Manage cash flow at an acceptable level with minimum risk & optimise management of Company cash.
Ensure the control of the Accounts Receivable to ensure risk minimised and cash flow plus working capital criteria met.
Ensure that appropriate accounting records are maintained.
Reporting
Monitor accuracy of financial reporting of actual costs and expenses against Budget/ Forecast comparisons to achieve goals and advise Management accordingly.
Maintain a high level of integrity for all financial reporting to enhance audit criteria.
Ensure quality of internal, external and inter-company reporting.
Continuously analyse the financial situation and exposure of the Company and alert management of any deviation from the Budget/ Forecast or of any significant event.
Budgeting and Forecasts
Ensure Budgets and Forecast are met where possible and ensure the quality of reporting to Head Office via available tools.
Planning
Maintain a high level of forward planning to assist Operations Manager to achieve subsidiary objectives.
Assist all Service Centre Managers with matters pertaining to finances including Budget and Forecast preparation and maintenance.
Ensure goals set internally and by Samuels Group are achieved where possible.
Facilitate and collaborate to ensure that the IT infrastructure adequately accommodates the Financial requirements.
Adhoc Tasks
To perform adhoc tasks as and when necessary.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION
Must be in a possession of a B.Compt Honours Degree with completed articles
CA(SA) will be advantageous
Minimum of 4 years post articles experience and 2 to 3 years in a similar role
Must be a self starter
Must be able to work under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong leadership skills
