Job Description
Our client in the Health-Tech industry is looking for an Intermediate Software Engineer (Ruby), in Johannesburg, Gauteng (Remote)Responsibilities:
- Develop high quality software.
- Research, design and implement high quality software with a great bias towards efficiency, maintainability and extensibility.
- Implementing unit tests and supporting quality assurance procedures.
- Mentor other engineers and participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers.
- Improve the engineering team's coding best practices and processes.
- Support deployed applications.
- Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent working experience.
- Short courses concerning modern development practices.
- At least 4 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Strong experience in Ruby on Rails, Ruby, SQL.
- Strong experience in using and developing restful APIs.
- Strong experience with object-oriented programming principles.
- Must have proven experience and understand agile software development methodologies.
- R50 000 - R70 000 per month dependent on qualification and experience.
