Duties and responsibilities:

  • Administrative duties:
  • Create quotes for functions and follow up on provisional business.
  • Update information for functions as information is received.
  • Reconcile journals and invoices.
  • Do filing.
  • Assist with conferences during recess periods.
  • Perform general administration duties as required.
  • Assist in counting stock and updating stock control sheets.
  • Compile reports.
  • Kovsie Inn:
  • Assist with reception duties (to include shift work and weekends).
  • Assist with setting up of functions, including breakfast and dinner.
  • Assist with any other administrative duties as required by Housing and Residence Affairs.
Inherent requirements:

Relevant bachelor's degree or B Tech degree on NQF level 7 or a 3-year National Diploma on NQF level 6.

The following criteria apply to the selection of candidates:
  • Have not participated in any learnership / internship programme.
  • Willing to sign a learnership / internship agreement with the UFS.
  • Has no formal work experience.
Recommendations:
  • Experience in Hospitality Industry.
  • Valid driver's licence.
