This role offers hands-on experience in writing content, managing social media, organizing events, and working with different stakeholders. The interns will learn important industry skills while supporting alumni programs at the college.Duties & Responsibilities:Content Creation and Communication

  • Develop engaging content for alumni newsletters, blogs, and social media platforms
  • Conduct interviews and write alumni success stories and testimonials
  • Assist in drafting press releases and media statements
  • Ensure brand consistency in all written and visual communication
Event Support and Alumni Engagement
  • Assist in organizing alumni networking events, workshops, and career fairs
  • Coordinate event logistics, invitations, and post-event follow-up
  • Engage with alumni to maintain strong relationships and encourage participation
Professional Development and Learning
  • Gain hands-on experience in marketing and public relations within an academic institution
  • Attend training sessions and industry events to enhance knowledge and skills
  • Work closely with the Career Center Coordinators on Campuses team to develop career development workshops
Administration and Alumni Queries
  • Respond to alumni inquiries via email, phone, and social media platforms
  • Maintain and update the alumni database with relevant information
  • Assist in drafting reports and documentation related to alumni engagement
  • Provide administrative support for alumni programs and initiatives
Minimum Requirements:QualificationsMinimum
  • 3 year Diploma (NQF Level 6) qualification in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or similar
Advantageous
  • Bachelors Degree (NQF Level 7) qualification in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or similar
Experience
  • N/A as this is an internship
