Job Description


The criteria is as follows: -

  • Candidates must have completed a BCom/Diploma qualification in Accounting or Finance.
  • Candidates must be computer literate and must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, internet
  • Clear credit (ITC) and no criminal record.
  • Candidates must currently be unemployed.
  • Candidates must not be participating on another learnership or internship program.
  • Candidates must live in Gauteng (preferably in the Midrand area) - relocation is NOT an option.
  • Candidates must be under the age of 35 as at 1 July 2024.
  • Candidates must be a South African Citizen (African, Asian, Indian)
Key Responsibilities: -
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting
Assist in collecting and analyzing financial data to support business decisions.
Help prepare financial reports and statements for internal stakeholders.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
Assist in analyzing budget variances and updating financial projections.
  • Support for Financial Planning
Help develop financial models and projections.
Assist in evaluating business cases and investment opportunities.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
Support compliance monitoring with financial regulations and guidelines.
Assist in preparing documentation for audits and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Operational Support
Provide administrative support for finance-related tasks.
Assist in coordinating meetings and financial presentations.
  • Learning and Development
Participate in training sessions and gain practical experience in financial management.
Develop skills in financial software and data analysis.
  • Team Collaboration
Work closely with the Finance Business Partner team on projects and initiatives.
Support team members in achieving financial goals and objectives.
Requirements: -
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop accounting skills.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and systems (SAP) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS) and regulations.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
