Internal Audit Supervisor
Job Description
The Internal Audit Supervisor leads audit engagements, assesses risks, and ensures compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
This role includes:
Developing and executing risk-based internal audit plans.
Supervising and mentoring junior auditors, ensuring quality and consistency in audit work.
Reviewing audit work papers and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Providing training to junior internal auditors to enhance their knowledge and skills.
Liaising with management during the audit process
Assisting in the development of the IA budget and monitoring team expenditure.
Attending and presenting at the monthly OPCO meetings.
Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager.
Qualifications:
3-year qualification in Internal Auditing/ Financial Accounting/Management Accounting Internal Audit Technician Training (Preferrable) Studying towards CIA qualification.
Experience:
Minimum 4-6 years of internal audit experience, preferably in the Financial Services Industry
Knowledge and Skills:
Computer literacy - minimum requirement MS Office In-depth knowledge of the audit process Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to identify audit issues and corresponding root causes and to propose feasible recommendations Ability to present audit results in a well-written report Be able to liaise with management regarding audit findings Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and in a team. Proficiency in audit tools and data analytics.
