Job Summary A mining company that focuses on the exploration and development of mineral properties, primarily in Africa. This company has been actively involved in several major mining projects in Southern Africa, aiming to become a global leader in the supply of critical resources essential for transitioning to a low-carbon, renewable energy future.The company adheres to governance standards, including compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements, reflecting its commitment to transparency and accountability in its operations. This role involves working closely with other Internal Auditors to test controls and conduct audits, reporting directly to the Board through the Audit Committee.If you meet the above requirements and are ready to take on an exciting challenge, we want to hear from you! • Conducting internal audits to ensure financial, operational, and compliance objectives are met.
• Performing ad hoc and forensic investigations as required.
• Contributing to policy and procedure maintenance and review.
• Developing assurance planning and reporting processes.
• Reporting control deficiencies and making risk-mitigating recommendations.
• Evaluating and refining internal control processes, including IT controls.
• Overseeing remediation efforts and engaging stakeholders company-wide.

Job Experience & Skills Required:Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Accounting or Internal Audit
• B Com (Hons)
• CIA or studying towards CIA
• Forensic qualification (ACFE or ICFP).

Experience:

• 3-5 years of forensic auditing/accounting/investigations and internal audit experience.
• SOX Exposure
• Advanced knowledge in forensic auditing (investigative audits).
• Strong understanding of internal auditing principles.
• Familiarity with King IV governance principles.

Skills & Competencies:

• High ethical standards and objectivity.
• Analytical thinking, independence, and initiative.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong organizational and adaptability skills.
