Join a thriving non-profit organization based in Johannesburg, Gauteng as an Internal Auditor. This entity is passionate about giving back to the community and enriching the lives of young South Africans xe2x80x93 who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.As an Internal Auditor you will be responsible for evaluating and improving the organisations internal controls, risk management processes, and financial reporting. The ideal person for this role needs to have experience in auditing within a non-profit environment, with a strong understanding of the unique financial and regulatory challenges faced by non-profit organizations.Duties and responsibilities include:

• Conduct comprehensive audits of financial and operational processes to ensure compliance with regulations and organizational policies.
• Assess risk management practices and recommend improvements to enhance the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Review financial statements and supporting documentation to verify accuracy and completeness.
• Develop audit plans and strategies tailored to the specific needs of the organization.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and address potential areas of concern.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings and recommendations for management.
• Stay current with non-profit accounting standards and regulatory changes.

Requirements:

• B.Com in Internal Auditing/ Accounting qualification
• CIA certification (advantageous)
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (experience in working for an NPO preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A passion for community development and youth empowerment
