Role Purpose

The Internal Business Consultant (iBC) crafts passionate, energetic and meaningful partnerships with
independent financial advisers (IFAs) that have not traditionally supported us. Using innovative
engagement techniques using product, market and sales intelligence will set them apart from their
counterparts. On achieving the productive state an IFA will be moved to a Regional General Managers
region on instruction from the Head of Sales. The BC and IFA relationship will be strengthened by face to
face interaction on a dedicated panel, first class service, business analysis and continuous improvement
of the IFAs business from the BC.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Matric
  • NQF Level 7 Degree in business management, legal, marketing, investments or finance.
Experience:
  • 1 - 3 years relevant sales experience is preferred
  • 2 - 3 years financial service industry experience is advantageous.
  • Strong business acumen, sound knowledge of financial services industry and insurance products
with an ease of making decisions and initiating action.
  • Ability to work virtually under the current pandemic
Duties & Responsibilities

Internal Processes
  • Understand and apply the MDS segmentation approach to the unclaimed Areas specific to
(MDS Central & Cape) IFA lists this excludes the claimed IFAs in the area.
  • Make contact with each and every IFA via the different digital platforms.
  • Close broker codes where no further relationship can be continued, facilitating any needed
system interactions.
  • Applying a segmented approach to build relationship with the remaining IFAs of the list.
  • Be accountable, innovative, excellent, honest, diverse and influential in your business dealings.
  • Assist with the transition of the IFA relationship to a Business Consultant when the IFA
production warrants a face to face relationship.

Client
  • Deliver on expectations to clients and internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that
client expectations are managed.
  • Involve Business Development Managers of the entire different product house on the IFA panel
by arranging training and other product related sessions via Zoom/Teams platforms.
